There are 7 groups of nutrients that are essential for the healthy human body systems; carbohydrates, protein, fats, fiber, water, minerals, vitamins.

Making decisions and plans for better health starts in the mind, thoughts and ideas flow through the mind, self awareness and maybe a memory of the past when the health was much better than the current one.  Over time the youthful eager to be physically active and to participate in sports may dwindle, and also be over crowded by every day demands for time and tasks, from the early morning to late in the afternoon may be busy with chores and commitments to the partner, family, work or friends.

Taking stock of your health is vitally important, it has to be kept in check, there is no alternative, you only get one body in a life time. How you run your life and look after your health is mostly in your hands.  There is a gradual pull of the gravity as the body ages, a slowing down and conservation of energy, the proportioned body weight needs to be under control so that it does not cause undue stress on the many systems of the human body. It is much easier to get up and to go outside to exercise each morning when the body weight is correct and no extra pounds/kilos to carry around the waist.
